SPECIAL TO THE TIMES

At the end of Friday night’s game, Brea-Olinda Coach Jon Looney was proud of his team. Brea-Olinda had bounced back from last week’s 28-point loss to Savanna, which knocked the Wildcats out of the playoffs. Friday they crushed Magnolia, 35-7, in an Orange League game.

Quarterback Paul Chiotti led the Wildcats by completing six of 11 passes for 142 yards and three touchdowns.

Magnolia (1-9, 0-5) jumped in front early when Tony Iliescu scored on a 14-yard touchdown run.

King rushed 19 times for 101 yards.

Chiotti scored his second touchdown when he hit Chris Beamer with 27 yard pass to give the Wildcats a 21-7 lead with 4 minutes and 9 seconds left in the third quarter.

Chiotti later hit Bob Bryant with a 20-yard touchdown pass. Brian Wakeman scored the Wildcats’ final touchdown on a 30-yard run with 1:21 left in the game.
