Missing ‘Bob’

Share

Did anyone else completely miss the belated “Bob” premiere? Your Highlights column, “Turn On, Tune In or Miss Out” (TV Times, Oct. 17) alerted me to tune in at 9:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22. I did and still missed out--where’s “Bob”?

A pox on CBS for the program change that left viewers disappointed and angry. Since we couldn’t find the show I’ll bet the ratings were abysmal.

Dear Don ...

I’m writing to complain about offensive racial remarks made on the show “Daddy Dearest” (Fox) on Sept. 28. Don Rickles’ character made racial slurs in a scene at the Department of Motor Vehicles.

These low-grade racial put-downs went out with Archie Bunker (or at least, Jackie Mason). The next thing you know Rickles will be saying things like, ‘Blacks love watermelon.’ ”

Two Out of ‘Order’

“Law & Order” (NBC) is one of the finest dramas on TV and the actors are excellent. So what happened? We turn on TV expecting to see the same fine cast and low and behold two of them are gone.
