Former USC Quarterback Honored by O.C. Hall

Toby Page, former USC quarterback who played on the Trojans’ 1967 national championship team, has been named winner of the Orange County Sports Hall of Fame’s 13th annual Ralph Clark Distinguished Citizen Award.

Page, who graduated cum laude with a business degree from USC, went on to become a successful financial adviser and institutional stockbroker, and is now a partner in the Dallas firm of Cantor Fitzgerald & Co. The Clark award is named for the retired Orange County supervisor and is presented to a former athlete who has gone on to succeed in another field.

An All-Orange County quarterback at Mater Dei High School in 1963, Page played a key role in USC’s 21-20 victory over UCLA that clinched the national championship for the Trojans in 1967. Page called the famous “23-Blast” audible that turned O.J. Simpson loose on his game-breaking, 64-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
