Media and History Symposium Scheduled

A symposium on the media’s definition and interpretation of historical events and how new technologies influence the way history is perceived will be held at 7 p.m. today at Cal State Northridge.
Times Television Critic Howard Rosenberg will moderate a panel that includes Emmy Award-winning producer Mark Carliner (“Stalin”), critical theorist Michael Renov and documentary filmmaker Sylvia Morales.
The symposium, sponsored by the university’s Radio, Television and Film Graduate Student Assn., is open to the public and will be held in the theater of the Speech Drama Building.
