Free Thanksgiving Meals at Salvation Army

El Grupo Med Legal and City Councilman Mike Hernandez will sponsor a Thanksgiving luncheon at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Salvation Army’s Red Shield Youth and Community Center, 1532 W. 11th St.
This is the second year the legal services office and Hernandez will host a Thanksgiving luncheon, which includes turkey, ham and all the trimmings, said Rafael Gonzalez, a field deputy working for Hernandez in Pico-Union.
“We’ve got 25 20-pound turkeys and we’ll be cooking them all over Pico-Union,” Gonzalez said.
Free meals will be served to the first 400 to arrive at the center.
