A Municipal Court commissioner issued an arrest warrant Tuesday for a 20-year-old Palmdale man who is accused of violating an injunction issued against gang members on Blythe Street, the Los Angeles city attorney’s office said.

Rene Carlos Valdez, who failed to show up for arraignment in Van Nuys Municipal Court, is charged with one count of trespassing and one count of violating the court order, according to a statement from City Atty. James K. Hahn.

Valdez was arrested Oct. 31 in the entryway of an apartment building at 14606 Blythe St., according to the statement.

The injunction severely limiting the activities of the Blythe Street gang was issued in February after Hahn sued a local gang and its members for engaging in criminal activities in the area.

Valdez, whose warrant set bail at $12,500, is the third person charged with violating the court order. Warrants have also been issued for the other two, accusing them of failing to make scheduled court appearances.
