Trojans Make Last-Ditch Rally but Falter in Final Exhibition

Stevie Wise scored 32 points, including five three-point baskets, to lead High Five America to a 106-103 victory over USC in an exhibition game Tuesday night at Rancho Bernardo High School.

After trailing 100-93 with two minutes remaining, USC made the game close behind Lorenzo Orr, who finished with 18 points and 11 rebounds.

Mark Boyd, who scored 10 and grabbed nine rebounds.

High Five America, a team of former college players who have a 6-3 record this season, made 11 three-pointers compared to USC’s four.

The Trojans also had 23 turnovers.

Brandon Martin, a sophomore guard, led USC with 22 points, while backup guards Damaine Powell and Claude Green added 12.

USC will play its regular-season opener Saturday at 2 p.m. when it hosts Pennsylvania at the Sports Arena.
