Hits Magazine Rumor of the Week
While Walt Disney Co.’s film division continues its box office success, rumors again center on the company’s embattled Hollywood Records and its vacant presidency. Insiders are saying not to expect Disney to make a final decision until after the first of the year, with recently hired A&R; Vice President Bob Pfeifer serving as de facto leader of Mickey’s musical kingdom. Among the names continuing to circulate are Pfeifer himself, Warner’s Michael Ostin, A&M;’s Jim Guerinot and attorney Richard Leher.
