Minorities Offered Law Scholarships

Share

Minority students planning to study law may be eligible for full- or partial-tuition scholarships at Southwestern University School of Law through its John J. Schumacher Leadership Scholarship Program.

Requirements include demonstrated leadership qualities, a bachelor’s degree, an excellent undergraduate grade-point average, a high Law School Admissions Test score, two letters of recommendation and completion of the law school application process. Applications for fall 1994 scholarships are now being accepted.

Southwestern developed the scholarship program to help address the underrepresentation of minorities in the legal profession. The program is named after the man who founded the law school in 1911.
