Man, 60, Killed in Truck Accident
A 60-year-old man was killed after his pickup truck went over an embankment in Chatsworth and fell 300 feet, the California Highway Patrol said Sunday.
The name of the victim was not released because relatives had not been notified, CHP Officer Bill Granados said.
The man was traveling north on Saugus Road, just north of Mayan Drive, about 7:30 p.m. Saturday. “He accidentally drove over the dirt embankment,” Granados said.
The truck overturned several times before coming to a rest 300 feet below, Granados said.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
