Syncor Enters New Pact With Du Pont-Merck

Share

Syncor International Corp., a supplier of specialty pharmaceutical services, said it has entered a new distribution agreement with Du Pont-Merck Pharmaceutical Co. that could increase its sales by $50 million or $60 million in 1994, and before-tax profits by $2.5 million to $3.5 million.

The agreement, which calls for Syncor to be the primary distributor of Du Pont-Merck radiopharmaceutical products in the United States and take over existing Du Pont-Merck accounts, begins Feb. 1. It replaces an existing agreement the companies entered in 1988.

Syncor added that it will set aside $3.5 million to $4.5 million in 1993 to pay for costs of developing the new alliance.
