Dionne Gives Canadiens’ Victory

Gilbert Dionne scored 3:21 into overtime to give the suddenly hot Montreal Canadiens a 4-3 victory over the slumping Vancouver Canucks Monday night at Montreal.

Vancouver defenseman Dana Murzyn fell while checking Dionne, allowing the wing to circle the net alone and slide the puck in off the far post.

Calgary 6, Ottawa 1--Gary Roberts, playing on his former junior hockey rink, scored three times and added an assist for the Flames at Ottawa.

Ottawa has lost 10 consecutive games at the Civic Centre.

Detroit 6, Winnipeg 2--Vyacheslav Kozlov scored twice to lead the Red Wings at Detroit.

Tim Cheveldae made 20 saves for the Red Wings.
