Delaware Supreme Court Set for Paramount Case: Lawyers for Paramount Communications Inc., Viacom Inc. and QVC Network Inc. were to present their arguments today against a lower court ruling that swept aside many of the protections Paramount had granted Viacom in their friendly merger deal. The high court’s decision could be announced today. If the lower court is allowed to stand, Paramount’s board may be forced to reconsider the QVC bid it rebuffed, and Wall Street traders say another round of bidding might ensue. The hearing is to be televised on Court TV.
