Countywide : Holiday Festivities on Tap for Weekend

Share

Holiday celebrations will be parading through Orange County’s streets and harbors today. The largest event starts at 10:30 a.m. in Laguna Niguel, where the city’s South County Holiday Parade marches south on Crown Valley Parkway from Nueva Vista Drive to Niguel Road. The roughly two-hour parade will be followed by an all-day festival at Crown Valley Community Park.

At 7:30 p.m. in Dana Point, about 50 boats decorated with lights will line up for the 19th annual harbor parade. At 8 p.m., the boats will cast off for the approximately hourlong parade that should be visible from all points in the harbor. A similar parade was held Friday night as part of the two-day event.

Another two-day celebration, the Huntington Harbour Boat Parade, starts tonight. About 40 decorated boats will cruise through the main channel at 5:30 p.m. Public viewing areas include the bridges at Warner Avenue and Humboldt Drive and on the beach at the end of Edinger Avenue. The parade will sail again at the same time Sunday.
