Jack Tobin Sr.; Retired Executive for Airlines

Jack Tobin Sr., retired executive with Continental and Hawaiian airlines, has died at age 76.

Tobin died Dec. 2 at his home in Westlake Village after a lengthy illness.

He served as vice president and executive vice president of Hawaiian Airlines from 1956 to 1969.

Tobin moved to Continental Airlines, where he was vice president and managing director of the South Pacific section. He retired in 1982.

He was a former director and chairman of the Honolulu Chamber of Commerce, the Hawaii Red Cross and the Hawaii Visitors Bureau.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Jean, and three children, Jack Jr., Scott Lee and Jill Malia.

Memorial services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Dec. 18 at St. Matthew’s Church in Pacific Palisades.
