CYPRESS : School District Board Gets New President
The Cypress School District this week chose Donna L. McDougall to serve as the new board president.
McDougall was elected to serve on the board in 1983 and acted as president once before in 1989.
She said she plans to continue programs established this past year and doesn’t foresee any severe problems next year. “I’m just going to carry on,” said McDougall, 55. “I’d like to see our good relationship with the teachers union continue and see the two new year-round schools--Landell and Dickerson--flourish and I’m anxious to see the senior citizens project that we are working on with the city come to fruition.”
Edward K. Southfield was chosen vice president and Donna Erickson will be clerk.
