THOUSAND OAKS : Gunman Sought in Bank Holdup
Demanding $20,000 and brandishing a handgun, a man robbed the Bank of America on Lindero Canyon Road in Thousand Oaks late Wednesday morning, the FBI said.
The man entered the bank wearing a baseball cap, wire-rimmed glasses and possibly a fake beard, said John Hoos, an FBI spokesman in Los Angeles.
Hoos said the man handed a teller a checkbook that contained a note saying: “This is a robbery. I want $20,000 in $100 bills. Don’t push the alarm.”
Hoos did not say how much money the gunman received.
FBI agents in Ventura are investigating.
