Jay Steffenhagen has been appointed vice president, investor relations for Beckman Instruments Inc., a Fullerton manufacturer of automated systems and supplies used for biological analysis. He was previously director of corporate strategic planning and investor relations. Steffenhagen has been with Beckman since 1979, holding positions in marketing, national accounts, program management and strategic planning.
