Share

Information on the slaying of a martial arts instructor and donations to help pay the expenses of a funeral were being sought this week by friends and students of Veronica Estrada, 29.

Estrada, who taught Tae Kwan Do at a nearby studio, was strangled Dec. 15 as she walked home from work in the dark in Canyon Country along Soledad Canyon Road west of Camp Plenty Road. She had left work about 8 p.m. and her body was found under bushes near the road about noon the next day.

A sign has been erected at the site asking motorists who might have been in the vicinity to contact the Sheriff’s Department with any information. More than 100 friends and students also have distributed thousands of flyers throughout the community.
