Baxter President Quits; Dispute Hinted: John R. Tobin resigned as president of Baxter International Inc., amid indications that he and other top managers could not agree on restructuring the hospital supply company. No successor was named. Tobin, 49, had been president since March, 1992. His duties will be assumed by the chairman, Vernon R. Loucks, and executive vice presidents Lester B. Knight and Tony L. White, the company said in a statement from its Deerfield, Ill., headquarters. The statement hinted of disagreement among top management.
