RAMS ’93 : It’s Almost Over
They were eliminated from playoff contention weeks ago, but there are still things at stake for the Rams when they finish the season at home Sunday against Chicago. For Jerome Bettis, there is the chance to become only the 14th first-year player since 1932--and the first since the Ram’s Eric Dickerson in 1983--to win the NFL rushing title. Bettis trails Dallas’ Emmitt Smith by just 35 yards (1,318 to 1,283). There is also the matter of the Rams’ potential draft position: With a loss, they could be in a position to select as high as second.
