What kind of difference can a bridge make?
Ask the folks at Westin South Coast Plaza. The Costa Mesa hotel across the street from the South Coast Plaza shopping center reports that occupancy is up 15%--all because of the pedestrian bridge that now connects the Town Center office complex with the retail complex.
The reason: More guests are staying overnight in order to shop, says hotel General Manager Wayne Bodington.
