Chain Sells 4 Restaurants to Investment Group

Hudson’s Grill of America Inc., the Ventura-based restaurant chain that was sold to a Texas entrepreneur over the summer, has sold four of its units to a family-owned investment group for $2.9 million in cash.
The group, headed by William and Gregory Georgas, purchased the chain’s restaurants in Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo and Santa Maria.
The restaurants will operate as franchises of Hudson’s Grill of America, which was purchased in August by Davis L. Osborn of Dallas. He plans to sell all 13 restaurants that he acquired and to concentrate on franchising the Hudson’s Grill concept.
