VAN NUYS : Menendez Juries Spend Quiet Day in Deliberation
The two juries in the Menendez brothers’ murder trial deliberated quietly Tuesday, sending no notes to the judge and putting in a full day’s work behind closed doors.
Lyle Menendez’s jury wrapped up a 14th day of deliberations. Erik Menendez’s jury finished a 12th day.
Two juries are deciding the case against Lyle Menendez, 25, and Erik Menendez, 23, because some evidence was admissible against only one brother.
Both are charged with murder in the Aug. 20, 1989, shotgun slayings of their parents, entertainment executive Jose Menendez, 45, and Kitty Menendez, 47.
