SANTA ANA — Producer Paul Henning, who developed three of the biggest television hits of the 1960s, is the subject of Rancho Santiago College’s 12th annual “Television Tribute” on Feb. 5.
Henning created CBS-TV comedies with rural settings including “The Beverly Hillbillies” and “Petticoat Junction” and was executive producer of “Green Acres.”
Several actors who appeared in those shows are tentatively scheduled to attend the tribute, including “Beverly Hillbillies” stars Buddy Ebsen, Donna Douglas and Max Baer Jr., “Green Acres” director Richard Bare and cast members Eddie Arnold, Eva Gabor, Pat Buttram, Tom Lester, Alvy Moore and Sid Melton and “Petticoat Junction’s” Linda Kaye Henning, Meredith MacRae and Lori Saunders.
Proceeds from the sale of $10 tickets benefit the college’s TV-Video Department’s scholarship and production fund. The price includes admission to a pre-tribute book signing at 5:30 p.m. and the 7 p.m. tribute in the college’s Phillips Hall Theatre. Information: (714) 564-5661.
