SANTA PAULA : Transit Money for Youth Club Weighed
The Ventura County Transportation Commission will hold a public hearing Friday to decide whether to give federal transit money to the Santa Paula Boys & Girls Club.
The club, which serves about 500 Santa Paula youths, is seeking $38,000 for a wheelchair lift, van, mobile radio, dispatch equipment and computer.
About $53,000 from the same federal fund already has been awarded to the city of Ojai to operate its trolley service.
The hearing will be held at 1 p.m. at Camarillo City Hall, 601 Carmen Drive.
