Performance magazine has named the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts the third-highest-grossing theater under 3,000 seats. According to the trade publication, the Cerritos Center, which opened Jan. 13, 1993, is the highest-grossing theater in the California category, finishing ahead of Los Angeles’ Pantages Theater, which ranked fifth. Among last year’s presentations at the Cerritos Center were a Frank Sinatra performance and a concert by dance stars Twyla Tharp and Mikhail Baryshnikov.
