Ford Raises Vehicle Prices: The U.S. auto maker raised prices on 11 car lines and six truck lines, for an average increase of 0.5%, or $97 a vehicle, across all of its model lines. Ford was the second of the Big Three auto makers to raise prices for a second time since the 1994 model year began last Oct. 1. Industry leader General Motors Corp. said last month that, as of Jan. 3, its U.S. car prices would go up an average 0.8%, or $164 a unit, from the introductory 1994 prices announced last July. GM also raised its truck prices a further 0.6%, or $131.
