MONROVIA : Mayor Lauds Wilson on Revenue Shift

Share

Mayor Robert T. Bartlett, president of the League of California Cities, this week praised Gov. Pete Wilson’s proposed 1994-95 state budget for taking no additional revenues from cities.

“Pete Wilson understands the cities can tolerate no further loss of revenues to the state, while working to provide the jobs and services to ensure California’s recovery,” said Bartlett, often an adversary of Wilson.

Bartlett on Monday said Wilson’s proposed budget would allow cities to strengthen critical services such as public safety and libraries.
