Mark Recchi had two goals and an assist to lead the Philadelphia Flyers to a 6-2 victory over the Boston Bruins on Thursday night at Philadelphia.

The Flyers, who have won two in a row for the first time since Nov. 26, are 13-2-2 against Northeast Division opponents. Boston, which entered the game as the NHL’s best road team, dropped its third straight.

Philadelphia’s offense finally came to life after managing only 30 goals in its last 15 games. The Flyers scored more than four goals for the first time since Dec. 2. They are 18-4-2 when scoring four or more goals.

Chicago 1, Tampa Bay 0--Jeremy Roenick scored a power-play goal in the first period and Ed Belfour made it stand up at Chicago for his 19th shutout.

Belfour made 20 saves--including three on breakaways late in the second period--to earn his first shutout since Dec. 19 and third of the season. Chicago’s victory ended a four-game losing streak.

Losing goaltender Daren Puppa was nearly as good as Belfour, making 28 of 29 saves.

Roenick was set up when defenseman Steve Smith jarred the puck away from Joe Reekie, who was attempting to clear during Chicago’s power play.

Joe Murphy pounced on the loose puck and passed it to Roenick. Roenick sent the puck under the pads of Puppa at 16:03 for only his fourth goal in the last 21 games.

Toronto 4, Dallas 3--Glenn Anderson’s goal with 13.8 seconds left in overtime gave the Maple Leafs the victory at Dallas.

Anderson, who was coming out of the penalty box, took Doug Gilmour’s pass and fought off Derian Hatcher’s check to fire a shot past Darcy Wakaluk.

Brendan Shanahan had a goal and three assists and Craig Janney had a goal and two assists for the Blues, who are 9-1-2 in their last 12 games against the Oilers.

St. Louis was three for five on the power play as Janney and Brett Hull also scored with the man advantage.

Florida 2, Pittsburgh 2--Goaltender John Vanbiesbrouck made 39 saves as the Panthers held on at Pittsburgh.

Despite blowing a 2-0 lead, the Penguins remained unbeaten in overtime at 4-0-10. They have more overtime games and points than any other NHL team. They have played four consecutive overtime games, winning two and tying two.
