ARCADIA: A robber held up the World Savings and Loan at 1200 S. Baldwin Ave. about 3:45 p.m. Jan. 13 and made off with roughly $200. The robber was described as a black-haired white male about 50 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches tall, 165 pounds, with a limp.

AZUSA: A burglary was reported to police at 2:30 p.m. Monday in the 800 block of South Cerritos Avenue.

BALDWIN PARK: A residential burglary was reported to police about noon Sunday in the 400 block of East Eighth Street.

CLAREMONT: Two men were arrested during a residential burglary about 9:35 a.m. Jan. 13 after a neighbor saw them forcing open the front door of a house in the 400 block of St. Bonaventure Street, said Lt. Gary Jenkins. Arrested were Todd Ollis, 29, of Upland and Matthew Holzinger, 29, of Fontana. Officers discovered about $3,500 in jewelry, computers and CDs stacked in the front entryway of the house.

COVINA: A 23-year-old man was stabbed Jan. 13 in what he described as a “set-up” at the Jack-in-the-Box at 1052 N. Grand Ave., Sgt. Mark Corder said. Covina resident Eric Carlisle said his female companion persuaded him to drive to the restaurant, where he suffered minor knife wounds after five men jumped him. He had been involved in a fight with several of his attackers Dec. 31, Corder said.

LA VERNE: A white Chevrolet Suburban was reported stolen from in front of the house at 571 Lavender St. about 5:20 Friday morning, said Lt. Paul Allen. No arrests have been made.

MONROVIA: A residential burglary was reported to Monrovia police at 12:11 a.m. Sunday in the 200 block of South Shamrock Avenue.

PASADENA: A dispute between two roommates in the first block of Cedar Street escalated into physical violence Sunday night when one man banged the other’s head against the floor and kicked him in the face, police said. Officers responded to the call about 12:30 a.m. One roommate was hospitalized with minor injuries. No arrests were made.

POMONA: A Pomona man is in critical condition at County-USC Medical Center after being shot in the head early Friday morning at the Pala Motel. Willie J. Lester, about 30, who lives in the motel at 987 E. Holt St., was found shot in the head near his room about 6:30 a.m. and airlifted by helicopter to the medical center. Detectives are investigating.

TEMPLE CITY: A fire in a camper shell might have killed a 38-year-old Temple City man in the early morning Jan. 13, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Gabe Ramirez reported. Firefighters responded to the blaze about 2:30 a.m. and found the man’s body among the debris of the camper, Ramirez said. The cause of the fire and the death are under investigation. The man’s name was withheld until his family could be notified.

WEST COVINA: A Rowland Heights construction worker linked to a dozen photos that showed a 4-year-old girl being molested has pleaded no contest to eight counts of lewd conduct with a child. Paul Lynn Loe, 46, who entered the plea Jan. 13 in Citrus Municipal Court, faces a possible 20-year prison term when he is formally sentenced Jan. 27 in Pomona Superior Court. He was arrested Dec. 31 after the photos of Loe and the child were found in a Whittier garbage bin. As part of a plea bargain with the district attorney’s office, two other lewd conduct counts and five counts of child pornography were dropped.
