SAN CLEMENTE : Senior Accepted Into Honor Band

Jamie Likely, a San Clemente High School senior, has been accepted into the 1994 All-State Honor Band.

Likely, 17, is one of 250 students selected by taped auditions out of more than 600 applicants from around the state.

She will audition again Feb. 11 in Fresno, after which she will be placed in either the symphonic band directed by Tim Smith of Cal State Hayward, or the concert band led by Bill Johnson of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

After two days of concentrated rehearsals, the two bands will present concerts on Feb. 13 in the Saroyan Theater at the Fresno Convention Center.
