Betty Lou Soden Dies of Lung Cancer
Betty Lou Soden, a longtime Orange County community activist and interior designer, died of lung cancer Thursday. She was 64.
Since moving here with her husband, now-retired Orange County Superior Court Judge Mark A. Soden, 40 years ago, Mrs. Soden had been active in many charitable activities.
She also was involved in interior design of residential and commercial properties through her firm, B.L. Soden Interiors.
In addition to her husband, Soden is survived by her son, Mark Jr., and daughter Mary Ann Soden, and parents Henry and Manda Pack.
A memorial service will be held at our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Newport Beach at 10.30 a.m. Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Assistance League of Newport-Mesa Dental Health Center or Hoag Hospital Emergency Care Center.
