For people displaced from their homes, GTE has established a phone bank at the San Fernando Recreation Park, 208 Park Ave., where people can go to make calls. Call (818) 898-1290.

GTE is waiving basic monthly charges for 90 days for quake victims and is providing boxes and bags for storage purposes at Red Cross shelter locations. In addition, GTE is offering a variety of free services to quake victims, including remote call forwarding, voice mail and transfer of service to a new location.
