New Image Reports Flat Earnings, Higher Revenue

New Image Industries Inc., a Canoga Park company that sells intraoral cameras and dental imaging equipment, reported that its fiscal second-quarter earnings were essentially flat at $1.42 million, compared to $1.44 million in net income a year before.

The company’s revenue for the three months ended Dec. 31 rose 36%, to $10.9 million from $8.03 million. It said the results reflected growing demand from dentists for its products.

It also said that its fiscal second-quarter profit would have increased 71% from a year earlier without the results of Styles on Video, its former subsidiary that was spun off to shareholders last March.

For the six months, New Image earned $2.1 million, down 6% from $2.23 million a year earlier. Its revenue rose 21%, to $16.4 million from $13.5 million.
