Hearvey, a 6-foot-1 sophomore from Magnolia High, shows amazing versatility for the Chargers. As expected, she leads the team with 53 blocked shots. But unexpectedly she tops the team in steals with 67. She is also averaging three assists. Hearvey had 15 points, 10 rebounds, seven steals and four assists as the Chargers lost to Riverside, 62-60. She then scored 19 points as Cypress beat Rancho Santiago, 82-31, Friday. She has 511 rebounds in her career, second-best in Cypress history after Joyce Rice (1979-81), who had 557.
