Microsemi Corp.: The Santa Ana custom semiconductor chip company reported a profit of $531,000, or 7 cents a share, for its fiscal 1994 first quarter. That compares with profit of $1.4 million, or 18 cents a share, for the first quarter a year ago, which included a gain of $1.3 million from an accounting change. Revenue for the quarter ended Jan. 2 dropped to $26.9 million from $30.5 million. Included in the fiscal 1993 first-quarter results was a net loss of $234,000 on revenue of $1.6 million attributable to businesses that were sold before the start of the 1994 fiscal year.
