LOS ANGELES COUNTY : 1-Month Bus Passes Offered to Quake Victims in Shelters
Free one-month bus passes are available for Los Angeles County residents who were forced from their homes by the Jan. 17 earthquake, officials said Thursday.
The monthly passes are being distributed at emergency shelters operated by the Red Cross and the Salvation Army in the San Fernando Valley and Hollywood areas. Passes will be available to anyone living in an emergency shelter who is receiving some type of federal assistance, Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority officials said.
