Saberhagen Suspended Five Days
New York Met right-hander Bret Saberhagen was suspended with pay for the first five days of the 1994 season because he sprayed bleach at reporters last summer.
Saberhagen, who missed the final two months of the season because of left knee and right elbow injuries, already had paid a fine of $15,384, one day of his 1993 pay.
