Marla Trump’s former publicist was ordered Friday to wear an electronic bracelet while he appeals his conviction for burglarizing her home and stealing her shoes and underwear.

Judge Richard Andrias said he believes Chuck Jones “is a very troubled person” but disagreed with a prosecutor that he has violent tendencies.

In addition to wearing the bracelet, Andrias ordered Jones to secure bond with the deed to his Greenwich, Conn., home, valued at about $800,000.

Jones, 52, was convicted Wednesday of burglary, possession of stolen property and weapon possession. He faces 1 1/2 years to 15 years in prison on the burglary count alone. Sentencing is set for April 6.

The electronic bracelet allows correction officials to monitor Jones’ movements while he is under house arrest. The judge said he can leave home only to go to work or to attend to legal matters.
