Buyers, Refi’ers: Get Loan Help at Times Home Fair

Share

With mortgage rates moving up from their two-decade low, many Southland residents are shifting their house-hunting into high gear. And they quickly run into myriad questions about home-loan borrowing.

At The Times’ fifth annual Home Buyers and Sellers Fair, buyers and refinancers can get answers to their mortgage questions, pre-qualify for a loan at lenders’ booths, see how their credit stacks up and check the new loans available for first-time and move-up buyers.

The fair will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, March 19, at the Anaheim Convention Center in Orange County.

A special exhibit area for entry-level buyers with modest incomes called “Paths to Homeownership” and sponsored by Fannie Mae (the Federal National Mortgage Assn.) will offer programs and advice on how to become a homeowner. Also on hand will be representatives of the California Housing Finance Agency, FHA, VA and municipal housing programs, which will present their mortgage programs for first-timers.
