Rainbow Technologies Inc.: The Irvine software protection company reported an 18% rise in profit for 1993 over 1992, to nearly $6 million, or $1.06 a share, from $5.1 million, or 95 cents a share. Sales increased to $35.1 million from $28.3 million. For the fourth quarter, profit was down to $1.3 million, or 23 cents a share, from $1.4 million, or 25 cents a share. Sales rose 6% to $8.6 million.
