Not Until You Finish Your Oreos

Nabisco Biscuit Co. said it will introduce by the end of the year six new breakfast snacks, including cereal bars based on Oreos.

The new items include Oreo, Chips Ahoy and Nutter Butter granola bars, along with fat-free cereal bars, said the unit of RJR Nabisco Holdings Corp.

The company said 24% of all snacking is done in the morning, more than double the level of 10 years ago.

“Time-pinched commuters who eat in their cars or on public transit on the way to work are major morning snackers, as are teens,” said Sharon Fordham, Nabisco vice president of new business.
