Four candidates, including two area college administrators, are finalists for the presidency at Cal State Long Beach.

They are Karl Anatol, interim Cal State Long Beach president; Robert Detweiler, president of Cal State Dominguez Hills; Manuel Ibanez, president of Texas A & M-Kingsville campus, and Robert Maxson, president of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

The finalists will be on campus at various times through Tuesday to meet with students, faculty and others in the community. A 16-member selection committee will submit its recommendations to the California State University Board of Trustees, which is expected to choose a president at its March 22-23 meeting.
