Castle Rock Pictures Names Marketing Chief

Continuing a fury of executive appointments following its acquisition by Turner Broadcasting System, Castle Rock Pictures has named Jim Fredrick president of marketing.

Fredrick most recently was Castle Rock’s head of advertising. He previously was an executive vice president at Frankfurt Gips Balkind and a senior producer at Intralink, where he worked on campaigns for such Castle Rock films as “City Slickers” and “Misery.”

Castle Rock Pictures is the film production unit of Castle Rock Entertainment.

* Imperial Bank has promoted Morgan Rector and Lenore Nelson to senior vice presidents in its entertainment industries group.

* Cable channel Encore Media Corp. has named David Salinger vice president of its new Mutiplex channel system and Jane Lynn director of Multiplex.

* Creation Entertainment has named Mary Anderson-Harris director of public relations.

* New Line Home Video has promoted Patti Bodner to vice president of marketing, Cathy Mantegna-Scott to executive director of publicity and promotion, Sarah Olson to director of marketing and Pamela Kelley to executive director of national accounts.

* William Morris Executive Vice President Richard Rosenberg, along with agents Johnny Levin and John Mass, have been named to work on the agency’s new consulting partnership with Busch Entertainment Corp., operator of such theme parks as Sea World and Busch Gardens.

* Graham King has been named a new partner with Platinic Films.

Kathie Hoops is the new vice president of residuals for Paramount Pictures. She will be responsible for the reporting of residual payments for Paramount’s motion picture and television groups.

* Production facility Sunset Post has named Robert K. Glassenberg a vice president.

* John V. Madison has been named senior vice president of sales and branch distribution for PolyGram group distribution.

* Lippin Group has promoted entertainment public relations specialists Peter Berk, Erin Dittman, Dan Harary and Barbara Tollis to vice president positions.
