Hits Magazine Tip of the Week

Forget the mud. The road to Woodstock’s 25th anniversary concert is proving bumpy. Insiders say research favors “traditional” Woodstock era artists such as Crosby, Stills & Nash and the Grateful Dead. But there is also pressure to include contemporary bands. Chatter has the concert lasting two days and incorporating “classic” and contemporary acts. Offers in the $250,000 range are said to have gone out to several bands, including Guns N’ Roses, Metallica, Nirvana and Soundgarden. Plans for a video, film and record deal have also complicated booking plans.
