Abbey Appoints Senior Vice President

Richard H. Hartnett has been appointed senior vice president of special projects and Western area vice president for Abbey Healthcare Group Inc., a Costa Mesa-based provider of home health care products and services. He succeeds Robert J. Gardner, who was appointed president of Abbey’s majority-owned subsidiary, Abbey Pharmaceutical Services Inc., last August. Before joining the company, Hartnett was vice president of operations for Homedco Group Inc. He has also been vice president, chief operating officer and chief financial officer at the Doheny Eye Institute in Los Angeles, and held finance and operations positions at Western Carloading Co. and Gulf & Western Industries, now Paramount Communications, in New York.
