Colombia, one of the dark-horse favorites to win this year’s World Cup, will establish its official training site at Cal State Fullerton, it was announced Thursday.

Three other World Cup soccer teams also named their official training sites, with Romania being based at UC Irvine, Sweden at Loyola Marymount and Cameroon, a 1990 World Cup quarterfinalist, at Oxnard College.

The United States, the fifth Southland-based team, will continue to use its national training camp in Mission Viejo.
