Officer’s Death Brings Both Sadness and Unity
* The tragic death of Christy Lynne Hamilton has affected the entire community. Once again the ugly face of crime has impacted us, the officers that serve the community. We have had another member of our ever-so-small family taken away.
Though our spirits and feelings may be somber with our loss, Christy’s death has brought out the community in their ever-present thoughtfulness and caring for the men and women of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Cards, letters, flowers and phone calls from the public have helped to relieve the sadness and sense of loss that is hanging over our heads. We will continue in our efforts to rid our communities of criminals so that we can make Los Angeles a safe place to live, work and play.
