PREP ROUNDUP : Wright Throws No-Hitter, Hits Two Homers
Jaret Wright threw a no-hitter to lead Katella to a 7-1 victory over Laguna Hills in the second round of the Loara Diamond baseball tournament. Wright, who struck out 11 and walked only two, also had two home runs and four runs batted in for the Knights.

Brea-Olinda 6, Long Beach Jordan 1--Bryan Robinson had a perfect game through 6 1/3 innings and settled for the one-hitter.
Diamond Bar 4, Dana Hills 2--Johnny Schmidt’s two-run home run in the sixth gave Diamond Bar (2-0) the lead. Dana Hills’ Chris Toomey also hit a two-run homer.
El Dorado 14, Newbury Park 6--Jeff Moore had two doubles, and Chris Beck had three singles for El Dorado (2-0).
Fountain Valley 4, Kennedy 3--Luke Fox’s single tied the score, and Kevin Burford’s fielder’s choice won it for Fountain Valley (2-0) in a three-run fifth.
Irvine 6, Villa Park 5--Winning pitcher Eric Sobek (1-0) was also three for four with a two-run triple in the first inning for Irvine (2-0).
